"This human coronary venous model provides phantom-vasculature of the human coronary sinus and it's main tributaries (great & middle cardiac veins).

State-of-the-literature knowledge provided the basis in characterizing dimensions, tapering, curvatures, and angulations of the vasculature in this model.

The vasculature extends into open-end tubes, which can be connected to a pulsatile circulation, to simulate hemodynamic conditions at high degrees of sophistication such as vessel-specific flow and pressure patterns.

There is a wide range of eligible fluids for the model including water, glycerin of varying dilutions, and blood.

Given the transparency of glass, this model provided an excellent medium for video and image documentation during medical device tests, showing the position and behavior of the device using standard imaging planes."
